Maple and Brown Sugar Oatmeal should be a staple in every home. This is my ultimate favorite oatmeal recipe and if I could come over and cook this for you right now, I would. It's THAT good. I think what truly makes this so special is the REAL 100% Grade A maple syrup. You really will be missing out on a world of flavor if you decide to use processed maple syrup! Trust me on this. Plus, if you've ever had real maple before you know what I'm talking about. So, ditch the processed packages of oatmeal and try this comforting homemade version instead. Ingredients
- 1 cup extra thick rolled oats
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 4 tbsp 100% pure Grade A maple syrup
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
Directions
- Step 1 Cook oatmeal according to package or desired consistency.
- Step 2 Once cooked, split oatmeal into two bowls.
- Step 3 In each bowl add 1/2 tsp brown sugar, 1/2 tbsp chia seeds, 2 tbsp maple syrup and half of the chopped walnuts.
- Step 4 Serve immediately.
