Who doesn't love Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal? No one in my circle of friends! If you believe oatmeal is boring or bland, I challenge you to give this recipe a try. It's sweet, creamy, and perfect for any season! I would even say for any reason but I just love oatmeal that much. If you desire a sweeter oatmeal, drizzle on more honey at the end. Regardless of how you change this up, I have a feeling it is going to be your new favorite Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal recipe! Ingredients
- 1 cup extra thick rolled oats
- 1 honey crisp apple
- 1tbsp ghee
- 3 tbsp of honey
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/16th tsp freshly grated nutmeg
- pinch of salt
Directions
- Step 1 Cook oatmeal according to package.
- Step 2 Chop apple to bite size pieces.
- Step 3 In a skillet over medium heat, melt the ghee.
- Step 4 Once melted, add apples and a pinch of salt. Cook about 5 minutes.
- Step 5 Turn heat to low and add honey. Cook another 5 minutes. Stir frequently.
- Step 6 Once the apples are fork tender, turn the heat off. Add cinnamon and nutmeg. Toss to coat evenly.
- Step 7 Serve over oatmeal.
- Step 8 Drizzle honey over the top if you desire more sweetness.
